Bud Selig had been mulling over whether he'll follow Bonds in his quest for breaking Hank Aaron's home run record. Well, looks like it's a big "no":
Selig has not stated publicly whether he will follow Bonds' pursuit of Hank Aaron's all-time home run record after watching the San Francisco Giants' three-game series in Milwaukee over the weekend.Mmm... considering Bud knows more information about his players than anyone, I consider this big news. It says alot about Bonds' character, and will heighten the suspicion of all the allegations that follow him.
His likely decision not to attend Monday's game, as Bonds sits at 753 home runs, could be the latest indication that Selig will not chase Bonds as he chases Aaron.
On Friday, Selig did not mention Bonds by name once during a nearly eight-minute interview that ran the gamut of subjects, from the veracity of Bonds' impending record to Selig's close relationship with Hank Aaron. He also referenced commissioners Ford Frick and Bowie Kuhn not attending milestone home runs, Roger Maris' 61st and Aaron's 715th, respectively.
