Didi Senft is a Bigger Tour de France Fan Than You

57 year old German cycling nut Didi Senft is such a huge fan of the Tour de France that he turns up to every stage of the three week event to cheer on the competitors dressed as erm... the devil.

He has also been known to paint a pitchfork on the road a few miles up from where he will be standing, which I assume is to warn the cyclists (and more likely, the camera-men) of his imminent presence.

Despite how it may seem, this is a good thing for cycling as schmos like me will actually watch every damned stage of the Tour just to play the 'spot the fruitcake' game.

And if you were to ever question Senft's motives, he would point out his place in the Guinness Book of Records where he currently holds the record for inventing the worlds largest bike.

After the first week of the Tour the current leader is Denmark's Michael Rasmussen, who is also the current 'King of the Mountains'.
