It's Good to Not Be Pacman Jones

by Eric Horowitz, ShakedownSports

When Pacman Jones gets into a car, he has police looking to make as much trouble for him as possible. When somebody like Giants running back Brandon Jacobs gets into a car, he can pretty much do whatever he wants.

Jacobs hit the gas a little too hard on Route 17 in New Jersey and got pulled over. The police officer ran Jacobs' license plate and knew exactly who he was going to be talking to as he approached the car. Waiting, Jacobs hoped to get off with a warning.

"He didn't even give me that," Jacobs said. "He said: 'You better run the ball this year.' " Jacobs got the message and left without a ticket.

That sounds like a pretty sweet deal. The question is, will Jacobs still be able to get off without a ticket in mid-December when the Giants are 4-10?
