No More Ookie Edition

I'm sick of hearing about Michael Vick and his indictment. The way those dogs were treated (by him or someone he knows) is abhorrent and deserving of outrage, but not sensationalism. Anyone that would treat any living creature like that has a serious character flaw, but animal abuse has been a serious issue for awhile. Why the outrage now? Hopefully, this will serve as an opportunity to shed some light on a much larger problem. So instead of paying $500+ for a new Golden Retriever at your local pet store or through a breeder, hit the Animal Shelter and adopt an animal.
