It's good to see that Formula-1's full blown bias against Ferrari is still running strong. I mean, just the other day I was saying to my buddy 'Mac', that 'You know what? McLaren might actually be fined for this or even be docked Constructors Championship Points'
How wrong I was. You see, although a McLaren team member held a minor encyclopedia of Ferrari's 2007 specifications, they didn't actually use that knowledge to their advantage. Because, you know, it's not like knowing advanced technical data on another team would give you an advantage
in motorsport is it?
Can you imagine what would happen to an NFL coach who managed to obtain another teams' play book and then, after spanking the other team a few times, claimed that he never used the information to his advantage?
Now, bear with me on this one, surely the actual spying itself is a punishable crime, not just the using of the information you gather?
The truth is that if this had been Ferrari caught peeking in the underwear draw, then there would have been a severe punishment and possibly even a disqualification form the World Championship. But no, Ferrari were the victims here so clearly the F-1 committee decided it was 'best for the sport' if McLaren got off scott-free. Sheesh.
