There was more than home runs trying to be hit in San Francisco during the All-Star break. Apparently some frisky fellas were also tryin' to hit some ho's. Eugene Robinson had no comment.
According to the Mercury News, a prostitution sting scheduled to coincide with Major League Baseball's All-Star Game netted 131 arrests.
Wait, Andruw Jones wasn't an All-Star this year was he?
My question is, how did authorities know that there would be a lot of hookers trolling for clients during the All-Star Game festivities. I mean this is the MLB All-Star Game, not the NBA All-Star Game.
The operation—which covered Oakland, San Francisco, South San Francisco, San Jose, Campbell and Fremont—particularly targeted child prostitution, which officials said has become an increasing problem in Oakland.
I'm sure that somehow Joe Morgan will blame that on Billy Beane.
So we have shootings and people "making it rain" at the NBA All-Star Game in Vegas and hookers galore at the MLB All-Star Game, yet the NFL All-Star Snoozefest barely registers a peep on our legal radar. Why is that, I wonder? Oh yeah, now I remember, the NFL players were at the NBA All-Star Game. Maybe that's part of Roger Goodell's new policy. If you're going to cause problems at an All-Star Game, do it at another league's version of it.
