The job of being a commissioner of a professional sports league is not an easy one. You have the drug cases, the domestic abuse, the grossly overpaid athletes, the massive merchandising overload, television rights underload, arrests, suspensions, etc...the list goes on. The question is, with all the troubles going on, whose job is currently the worst? In other words, Which Commissioner Is Most Not Now?
Roger Goodell wins in a landslide. How one commissioner can have so many players in trouble with the law is nearly mind-boggling. That's not even getting into the league screwing retired NFL players out of medical benefits or their wranglings with cable operators to keep the NFL channel on non-premium stations. This dude has got a LOT of problems to handle. You know Tagliabue was a smart man, he got out while the gettin was good.
David Stern - FBI is investigating an NBA Referee who was betting on NBA Basketball Games including ones he was officiating the past two seasons; Ron Artest is still in the league; Antoine Walker wuz robbed; 2 of your most talented rookies are stuck playing in the pacific northwest; Vin Baker can't stop drinking; Neither can Jerry Buss; Joakim Noah will annoy fans for many many years to come.
Gary Bettman - Cannot get sport on anything but Versus; Teams could be moving and/or folding; Not that many people care whats going on...and there really isn't much to write about because of it.
Bud Selig - Steroids are rampant and ruining records; Barry Bonds (see steroids); A-Rod likes manly women and makes too much money; Pitchers are getting injured at record rates; If its not NY vs Boston it gets no national press...unless its Bonds; Sheffield thinks everyone in the league is racist; Elijah Dukes is batshit crazy; Milwaukee is still in 1st place in the National League.
Roger Goodell - Tank Johnson; PacMan Jones; Chris Henry; Michael Vick; Bill Maas; Chris Chambers; Joey Porter & Levi Jones; Khalif Barnes; Anthony Waters; Bryant McNeil; Claude Wroten; Fred Evans; Quincy Williams; Nick Barnett; Mike Mason; David Kircus; Justin Miller; AJ Nicholson; Richard Seigler; Ahmad Carroll; Frostee Rucker...screw it.
Roger Goodell...you are The Most Not Now! Congratulations?

Hardly seems fair to include Bettman. He'd kill to have the problems of those other guys because then someone might actually pay attention to hockey.
It's not just Goodell with the retired players' issues.
While the injuries are much more severe/newsworthy, there are veterans from all the leagues who are barely getting by, if that.
If the current pro players would be a little less greedy and vote even a little bit of money toward these vets to increase their pensions, it'd help tremendously.
Instead, they choose to be greedy SOBs and not do their part to thank the guys who paved the way for them to make millions.
Selig, the guy that turned his back on steroid use, then made an issue out of it when fan interest came back around.
Stern's botch job on the Suns playoff debacle had him in the Most Not Hot role for a while there, but he seems to have quietly stepped dwon.
How about Tim Finchem (PGA) with these new steroid talks from Gary Player?
