I hope that you've all seen the glory of the Golf Channel's (fairly) new show, Fore Inventors Only...Personally, I get sucked in, and if it were to come on for 48 hours straight you would probably end up having to scrape fecal matter off the couch and hook me up to an iv immediately upon finding my lifeless, living body...I'm not really sure what it is about the show that intrigues me so much...I've never had an interest in inventions, I've never even watched whatever that other inventor show that comes on is, and though I love golf, there are tons of other golf shows on the tube nowadays that I don't like, so it's not that either...I really don't know what it is...Maybe I need to tape it and then try rewinding it in slow motion...Could Ben Hogan really be giving me a subliminal message a la Robert Plant...?
For as much as I heart the show (you like that? I said heart, and I'm straight...Yeah, I can do that...I do what I want.......Bitch!), I utterly, absolutely, positively, with 100% certainty, hate the female judge, panelist, "expert", witch, cock whore, whatever you want to call her...
The subject of my hate is Stina Sternberg...When she's not on her knees in front of Satan himself or killing the hopes, dreams, and wallets of many wannabe inventors, she can be found burning children, raping kittens, cutting down rain forests, and editing the Golf for Women magazine...You see, I guess since Stina has written about equipment, and never designed it, she feels that she is the tell all, end all source on golf inventions...With a top 50 teaching pro in Bill Harmon to her right, and a professional golfer in Fulton Allem to her immediate left, Beelzebub Sternberg proceeds to bash the inventions of these people, many of whom appear to be quite unstable...
Now, am I criticizing Stina on shooting down ideas? No...But when you have a golf teaching pro and a professional golfer on either side, and they're saying something is a good concept, and you continue to berate the poor soul who is wondering why the hell he's even wasting his time on you, then I've got a problem...
I really waited too long to write this article, because in last night's episode she seemed a BIT better...Still demonic in nature, but ol' Stina just may have climbed up to the second level of Hell...I can only hope that this progress becomes a continual struggle, and by the end Stina emerges victorious over all that is evil...It could be a running subplot...Watch as Stina struggles to cast out her own demons...It would add a new fold to the show never thought up in any production meetings...Call me Golf Channel execs...We'll get some kind of compensation set up for my idea...
I still suggest that EVERYONE who enjoys golf watch this show...It comes on tonight at 8 PM Eastern (a re-run of last night's episode...the first field tests), and new episodes air every Tuesday night at 10 PM Eastern...

the first few times i watched the show, i felt the exact same way. she actually has a pretty strong golf industry background and from a resume standpoint can hold her own with the other two.
i think what you're missing is she's just being swedish. i mean that sincerely. i have many many friends that are swedish and as an american, it took me a while to realize that they're not trying to be an ass, they're just very matter-of-fact in their presentation skills. comes across often times as lacking tact, but it is the way it is. imho
Yeah, she's definitely gotten better, and I never thought about the whole Swedish angle...While she does have experience in the industry, whenever a teaching invention is presented and she disagrees with Harmon, I really question her...He is , after all, the teaching pro...

First off...you're weird. Second, if you've done you're research...she was a Tour Player in Sweden and not only writes for GFW but is one of the panelists for the Golf Digest "Hot List." You know....that little analysis on all the new equipment coming out for the year that is basically the bible for retailers and consumers alike.
