I have never been a big X-Games fan. Just never appealed to me. But while sitting up with my kid tonight, I somehow ended up watching about four hours of coverage on ESPN. Chalk it up to my unhealthy infatuation with Dana Jacobsen.

Anyway, I was watching the highlights of something called the Big Air competition and couldn't believe what happened: some dude named Jake Brown lost his board about forty feet in the air and free-fell (is that a word?) onto the ramp. The most insane part? He walked away from it.
