More Bad News for Wrestling: Bryan Adams Dead at 43

by WCK, 100% Injury Rate

News has just recently broken that yet another wrestler has died prematurely. Bryan Adams, known as Crush during his time with the WWE, and part of the champion Demolition tag team, was found dead earlier this morning. He was 43. Adams also had a rather memorable fight during Wrestlemania X. Details about the cause of death have yet to be released.

After the Benoit murders and suicide, this is yet another black eye for professional wrestling. The consistency with which professional wrestlers are dropping like flies at a relatively young age has become alarming. Most people attribute this to extreme overuse of steroids that either severely break down the body over time or cause serious mental problems like in Benoit's case. Even though wrestling is viewed as strictly entertainment (although I would argue that so are sports like football and baseball), and has been left untouched by any oversight for decades, it may not be long before Congress or somebody else steps in and starts forcing it to begin serious drug testing.

SEScoops: Bryan "Crush" Adams dead at 43.

Oh sweet baby Jesus! For a minute, I lost it. I mean I just don't know what I'd do if I thought there wasn't going to be a Robin Hood 2: Electric Boogaloo theme song.

I am so shocked to find out that the constipated-sounding Cannuck rocker Bryan Adams is dead at age 43.

In the last 3 years of his life, Bryan stopped making constipated rock, and instead concentrated on his professional wrestling career (see picture above), where he played the part of "Wrestling Jay Leno Lookalike" while wearing orange spandex.

I, for one will be marking the occasion by observing 1 minute's silence, before singing "Summer of 69". In a leotard.
