NASCAR is Better Than the WWE

by DCScrap, Our Book of Scrap

This weekend's NASCAR race had a little bit of everything. Vince McMahon couldn't have scripted a better event, especially considering it was on a road course. Juan Pablo Montoya and Kevin Harvick got into a scuffle right on the track, Jeff Gordon spun out all by himself while leading with two laps left, while race winner Tony Stewart also spun out while in the lead earlier in the race only to furiously charge back to the front. Oh yeah, a fan walked up to Matt Kenseth's car during a red flag and asked for an autograph too!

"I was just sitting there thinking about my car, the problems we had with the brakes and stuff," Kenseth said. "All of a sudden I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I saw this dude run up with a hat. He had a Sharpie.

"I said, 'Man, we're getting ready to race. You could be getting into some trouble.' I probably should have signed it. It would have been a cool keepsake for him since he got in all of that trouble."

That was good, but the most visible fun occurred between Harvick and Montoya. Harvick thought that Montoya had spun him and pulled up in front of Montoya to block him from going to the pits, but not before flipping him the bird. Problem is that it was Martin Truex Jr. that started the whole wreck, not Montoya.

Even after the race, Harvick was still mad at Montoya, even though it had been explained to him that it wasn't Montoya's fault.

Felix Sabates, the co-owner of Montoya's car, visited Harvick in the garage to explain what happened and tell him he too didn't appreciate the gesture.

"I don't think Harvick wants to school him," he said. "Montoya is a kung fu expert and he would kick his ass from here to kingdom come."
It also seems that this isn't the last we'll see between Truex and Montoya this year.
"He's p---ed at the 1 car [Truex]," Sabates said. "He'll get his ass before the year is over. And if he doesn't, I will. That boy ain't got no brain, anyway."
Let's see Vince McMahon top all that.
