Our favorite pompous sleestak-ish radio personality, Don Imus, is back in the news.
After pulling down a reported $20 million settlement from CBS Radio for breach-of-contract in his April firing-- although CBS is currently denying the exact amount -- he is now getting sued by a Rutgers basketball player for defamation of character over his now in-famous "nappy-headed hos" comment.
"This is a lawsuit in order to restore the good name and reputation of my client, Kia Vaughn," said her attorney, Richard Ancowitz....the suit suit refers to terms used by Imus April 4 -- including referring to women on the team as"nappy headed" -- as "debasing, demeaning, humiliating, and denigrating" to Vaughn and her fellow players.
Now, I understand the derogatory nature of what Imus said and it musta hurt her feelings vaarry bad. But gimme-a-break! The dude got canned and be done with it. If anything, you should be going after Ghost Killah from Wu-Tang for creating the lyric/phrase in the first place.
