Now I know there's a lot of yahoos out there who get touchy when you mention Formula-1 in the same sentence as Champ Car racing or Nascar, but maybe it's time y'all accepted that F-1 really is the more skilled of the motorsports.
I mean when Sebastien Bourdais has to win the Champ Car series three times running before he even gets a look-in and then can't secure himself a seat in a decent team, you have to wonder why, don't you? Or at-least consider the possibility that F-1 teams demand something that Champ Car and Nascar drivers just don't have from their drivers.
Bourdais will be driving for the Toro Rosso team next year and as such is unlikely to be setting the world alight. Unfortunately U.S. driver Scott Speed (an excellent name for a race driver no?) has been sacked by the team after a run of poor form. Which was harsh really, because Speed is a fantastic driver and if his car had actually held up for a whole race once in a while, I'm sure he could have proved it.
Traditionally, Champ Car drivers struggle in Formula-1. Only time will tell if Bourdais can cut it with the likes of Lewis Hamilton next year.

I can name plenty of F1 standouts who washed out at Indy. A certain F1 winner is struggling in NASCAR other than one lucky win.
Formula 1 is the world's most visible motoraport. That hardly insures that it's better
