Against The Spread: Letting It Ride On UDub

It seems as if every season, I end up riding one team for the entire season, rain or shine. It's a combination of intrigue, excitement and the simple fact they seem to be covering a ton of spreads. Last year, my team was everyone's favorite underdogs from Wake Forest. I remember picking the Deacs in a few early season games, not really thinking anything of it. Then before I realized it, Wake was 6-0 and covering every spread. The best thing with Wake last season was that despite the fantastic start, nobody in Vegas took them seriously. At 8-0, they were still dogs in nearly every single ACC game. The highlight of Wake's gambling run came when the line was something along the line of +7.5 going into Florida State and the Deacs pitched a 30-0 shutout on the Noles. Nice payout.

My faith in Wake paid off in some big wins last season. My early season candidate for the "Let It Ride" team of the season: Washington. I already have a man-crush on Jake Locker and Ty Willingham is doing his best to show Notre Dame that they made a mistake. UDub may not finish with the same kind of record that Wake did, but they will cover a ton of games.
