Most of you probably remember not that long ago when Eddie Curry and Antoine Walker got held up in their own homes. Luckily the guys that allegedly committed the robberies were caught. You may remember one of the weirder things was that Curry was actually duct taped to a chair.
Well it seems we may have a copycat on our hands, or maybe the Chicago police never got the right guys, because Texans cornerback Dunta Robinson is having similar problems.
Two men entered his home this weekend, tied him up with duct tape and then robbed him. Officers said one of the men walked into the living room of the home and, at gunpoint, ordered Robinson to lie on the floor and then bound him with duct tape.
This was my favorite part of the robbery though: Police said both men were wearing Los Angeles Dodgers baseball caps. This just confirms what we all knew, Dodgers fans are complete jackasses.
Anyway, athletes being targeted by robbers seems to be becoming a bit of a problem. Although it makes some sense. Athletes are rich, but usually not rich enough to have their own security detail. I just always assumed this was the kind of thing athletes in Argentina or Colombia had to worry about. Not athletes in the United States.
