It's not too late for you to own a piece of Giants history ... or at least a 14-piece Continental Baroque-style walnut dining room suite estimated to be worth up to $25,000. I am talking, of course, about tonight's Michael and Jean Strahan auction.
Maybe that's not your style. How about a Renaissance Revival carved oak sideboard cabinet expected to fetch up to $18,000? Or some Victorian-era furniture and antique Persian carpets? Those just scream, "Giants!"
"You could tell he had a lot of money and liked to decorate," said Connecticut resident Chris Velush.
But Strahan is not gay. Nope. No way. Not that there would be anything wrong with that.
The auction was ordered by Superior Court Judge James Convery in May as part of the divorce agreement between Strahan and wife Jean. They are to split the profits.
More than 1,000 bidders from as far away as England and Austria are expected to bid on Strahan's stuff tonight. The house itself is valued at approximately $3.6 million so it looks like Mikey is going to have plenty of pocket money to spruce up his new bachelor pad once the auction is complete.
If you're interested in buying something (and what self-respecting Giants fan wouldn't be?), here is the auction catalogue. Just let us know if you get anything, okay?
