Epic Carnival | Where Sports and Pop Culture Collide: NBA Players Should Use Their Blinkers

NBA Players Should Use Their Blinkers

by , SimonOnSports

Pacers Second Year Forward, Shawne Williams, was just having a casual innocent stroll in his SUV with two of his buddies at 12:45 AM when he simply forgot to use his turn signal while switching lanes. An honest mistake which happens millions of times every day. Little did he know that stuffy police officer Sgt. Matthew Mount decided that he was going to pull over the SUV and hassle him about a couple of little things wrong like there being a little Marijuana smoking going on by the front seat passenger.

"The guy in the front passenger seat, Mr. Rollins, said the marijuana was his and Mr. Williams denied knowledge of the marijuana even being in his car even though you could obviously smell the odor of burnt marijuana," Mount said.

Give Williams a break Sergeant, it was his passengers weed. Mr. Williams does not even know what Marijuana smells like. He is pure of mind body and soul, and thought his friend was simply smoking a cigar. Maybe he puffed on it once or twice possibly thrice, but never knowing that he was in fact breaking the law.

In addition officer, he just forgot where his license was. That was why he gave you the wrong identification and as for the expired license plate he was going to get that renewed the next day. And the stolen firearm that the passenger in the back seat was carrying, wasn't exactly stolen it was simply borrowed from the store without their knowledge. Mr. Williams and his friend were going to drop off the weapon right after they renewed the license plate. And they were both going to get their firearm license first thing in the morning so they could legally carry a gun into the store while returning.

So a lesson can be learned here. Police officers apparently just can't pull you over to scold you about not using your signal at 12:45 in the morning. They have to nit pick over a little Marijuana, Driving without a License, Driving with an Expired Plate, Unlicensed Carrying of a Firearm, and Carrying of a Stolen Firearm. And that's why NBA players should just use their Turn Signals at night so they can avoid Stuffy Police Officers just looking to flash their power in the face of a Rich Professional Athlete.
