I understand that the big story today is the whole OJ Simpson thing. But, I really don't care about OJ. Though I do hope he finally get some kind of jail time. Is it really harder in the NFL as a black QB? I'm not sure, but Donovan McNabb certainly thinks so. The once thought lock to make the playoffs, the Mets are suddenly on the verge of missing out. That's right Philly fans you may have something to cheer for after all. Plus, this whole Marc Ecko voting thing with Bonds' 756th home run is pretty stupid to me. Sure, I'd probably brand it. Regardless, it belongs in the hall of fame and Ecko making the results private only makes me think he'll do as he pleases no matter how the vote shakes out. Today's worth looking at female is Sophie Howard. I, as usual, have no idea who she is. But does it really matter?
Is Only One NY Team Playing Into October?
It sure as hell looks like it. As the Mets have dropped 5 strait while the Phillies have won 6 in a row themselves to pull within 1.5 games in the NL East. Those five losses include a sweep against the Phillies and the first two against Washington. The cure may be on the horizon though as the Mets play 11 of the final 12 against Washington and Florida. If they blow it playing those two they really don't deserve any sympathy. The Phillies get their share of Washington as well, but they've got Atlanta and St. Louis on top of the Nationals.
Looking at the schedules I would think the Mets will hold on. But, with EL Duque now likely to miss the rest of the season and the starting pitching only getting worse. It just feels like the Phillies might pull this off. Which is insane when you consider how many players have gone down with injury in Philadelphia this season. Including Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, and Cole Hamels at different points. Hamels made his return last night.
This should be fun to watch down the stretch. Unfortunately, the two teams wont be playing head-to-head. Though that's probably good news for the Metropolitans.
The Juice Gets $125,00 Bail
Here's your Juice update: His arraingment was just held on ESPN. His bail was set at $125,000 and he's been with a slew of things. Including kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and coercion. He'll be returning to court sometime during the week of October 22nd.
Does Racism Fuel McNabb's Critics?
I would say no. Maybe that's just me though. I cannot speak for others. That said, I don't feel like race has anything to do with McNabb getting booed in Philly. As many have already said, Philly's a touch place to play, and regardless of your skin color your going to get booed when you play like McNabb did Monday night. A QB is a QB and their going to get criticized when they play bad. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Tank Johnson Signs With Dallas
They need a defensive tackle. Though the fact that Johnson cannot play until at least week 9
make the timing a bit questionable. Many have suggested the Cowboys are looking for a little extra help for their match-up with Chicago this week. I'm not sure how much help he's going to be. But hey, why not? Everybody seems to be doing it these days.

Fear not, Mets fans. My Phils do this all the time. It's just a scare tactic, none of them actually want to play in October.
And as far as Donovan goes, he wouldn't have to hear any criticism at all if he would start playing worth a shit.
And finally, screw the cowboys. I hope Tank teaches Tony Romo and TO what he learned in the can. in THEIR cans.
Tank Johnson for comeback player of the year.
