This Week In Blogfrica
-Donovan McNabb, slow down! If you have another game like that, you truly will have to try extra hard to live up to the unfair expectations placed on Negro QB's.
-NBC's and the NFL went full force in catering to the Spanish speaking market on Sunday Night. But we don't believe Spanish speaking viewers will truly accept Futbol Americano until John Madden screams "Gooooooooaaaaaaaaaaalllllllll" after every score.
-The DEA's big steroid bust is no great revelation. Lifters and athletes have been ordering juice from underground labs on internet bodybuilding message boards for over a decade. Nice of the feds to finally arrive at the party.
-Despite the apparent media fascination with Tim Tebow's Negro QB impersonation; Andre' Woodson is the Heisman front runner.
-This season's first major victim of unwanted Peter King backing will be David Garrard. He had a solid game against Denver, but watch what happens now that he has King's endorsement.
-The UFC's former poster boy, Chuck Liddell, was beaten again. Keith Jardine should send a thank you note to Rampage Jackson for crushing the will of Liddell.
-LSU and WVU are the top two teams in our Negro Coach and QB Poll this week. Book 'em for the BCS title game.
-ESPN's Town Hall Meeting on Michael Vick was timely, brilliantly executed and served as an open minded forum to continue to debate whether it's fair to hold Vick accountable for his actions. After he has already admitted to them. Timely. And, kudos to the crowd there. You folks certainly portrayed Atlantans in a positive light to the rest of the country. Reasonable, contemplative and willing to entertain the opinions of those with whom you may not agree.
