Social Network sites were back on top of the college football world as LSU Backup QB Ryan Perrilloux and LB Derrick Odom were involved in a fracas at a night club last Friday night. Both players will not practice or play until the investigation is cleared up.

Perrilloux claims he was the victim, getting jumped and picked on because of his race. Odom and Perrilloux both allege that their pregnant girlfriends were roughed up by these bouncers and they were just them. That is right, BOTH players' have knocked up girlfriends.

I will leave the racial thing aside but two things standout. Most bouncers at college clubs are meat heads looking to fight. They are itching to toss someone out, the bigger the person, the bigger the challenge. Plus, I am shocked that Perrilloux was not boys with some employee of the club who could have diffused the situation, as that is how most ballers that I knew rolled in college.

Second, if you do not want your pregnant girlfriends accosted by these roid rage meat head bouncer types, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO NIGHTCLUBS! It is very unwise to risk the health of your kid and baby mama. Considering, both of these dudes have been arrested or criminally investigated in the past few years, it could be argued that good judgement is not their strongest characteristic.

Well, Odom quickly told his side of the story via his Facebook page.

"Derrick is sayin the fight dont end til u die BITCH,"

Odom updated his page just minutes later with another message.

"Derrick is trippin on how these fools try to run up on u behind ya back when they know they cant f*%k wit u 1 on 1 but he got something that will shut all that shit down."

It is hard to read behind the lines but I think Derrick is look n 2 get a gat an cap de MOFOS!

This is probably not a wise PR move to make since there was a gun reported at the night club melee and he still could get arrested or kicked off the LSU team. Losing his scholarship would hinder his ability to attain better employment and provide a better life for his future child.

Odom's dumbass facebook rant reminded me of the Iowa Hawkeye's City Boyz Inc(CBI) putting up pictures on their facebook profiles of them with booze and money. These photos came to light after 2 of the CBI's members were arrested for credit card fraud right before the season started. The most prominent CBI member arrested was 2006 Freshman All American, WR Dominique Douglas.

Douglas went to his Facebook profile to claim his innocent.

"Domo Cbi Dougis realizing who his fam is n who's not, its been speculations going around n alot people dont no nothing....but its cool he no he gon b str8..."

Well, it was not Str8 as Douglas has been suspended all year but still enrolled in school and awaiting his trial. The loss of Douglas has been devastating to the 07 anemic Hawkeye offense that could desperately use his big play ability.

My own college choices were very spotty sometimes so I am conducent to understanding "wrong place, wrong time" or the "boys will be boys" arguments for these cases. After their legal cases play out, it is up to their college coaches and administrators to determine whether or not these players deserve another chance at school, football or should be completely booted out of both.

The most important part is whether your learn from your mistakes and modify your behavior or do you keep making the same bad decisions.

Well, in the case of Douglas, he might have just punched his ticket out of Iowa City. He was recently arrested on shoplifting charges for stealing 3 DVDs from Walmart worth 30 dollars. THREE DVDS for 30 BUCKS!

Walmart caught him on camera, investigated and were able to determine his identity because he had cashed a money order from their customer service desk right before he swiped the DVDs. FN BRILLIANT.

He had the money but decided to steal the DVDs instead. Even more brilliant! The Hawkeye Blog, Black Heart Gold Pants, is having a contest to name the 3 DVDs.

My guesses are Oz: Season 1, Forrest Gump, and Sling Blade.
