To say last night's game didn't go as the Rockies expected, would be an understatement. But, it's only one game and despite my Red Sox in 5 prediction, I still think the Rockies can win the series. Though after having their #1 guy get blitzed, things are certainly not looking good. Haven't heard much talk about BC-VT tonight. Not sure if that's because most of the country thinks VT will knock off BC and knock them from the ranks of the unbeaten. Or, because no one cares either way. I for one think BC can go into VT and win, but will they? Couldn't tell you, I'm not Merlin. I still haven't decided which way I'm going with the my NBA MVP pick, could Nash really win it again? Speaking of the NBA, could yesterday's trade have been any less appealing? When I seen five-player trade and the teams involved I knew it wasn't a big one. But, it'll work out to a degree for both sides. This is Danielle Lloyd promoting skiing. Still no idea how she's famous.
Well That Didn't Work Out So Well Did It?
When I looked at the Beckett-Francis math cup yesterday I expected a 5-1 kind of game. Maybe even closer. The last thing I expected was for the Sox to bend the Rockies over a table and forcibly drain their self esteem. If this continues, it'll be the weakest Series since the Tigers pitchers forgot how to field their position. Which to be fair, was only weak for two reasons: I'm a Tigers fan and I've always hated the Cardinals. The Cards winning made me want to stab myself.
Tonight the Rockies can erase what happened last night if Ubaldo (greatest name on the series) Jimenez can throw strikes and hit his spots. If not, it'll be another long night at Fenway for the purple guys. In my opinion, Ubaldo has arguably the best stuff on the Rockies staff but he's young and it's hard to expect him to go out and shut down the Sox. On the other side you have Schilling. Who boasts a 3-1 career World Series record with a 2.11 ERA in 6 starts. Quite a tall order for Ubaldo, but he can can get it done so long as he survives the first inning.
How About Beckett?
The guy is absolutely disgusting. Dominating another lineup this post season and improving to 4-0. Last night over 7 innings he surrendered 1 run on six hits while striking out 9 and walking one. Just a nasty line and he'll duplicate it if this series makes it to a 5th game.

Can BC Remain Unbeaten?
I think so, but maybe that's because I'd like to see my prediction of an OSU-BC National Title game come true. Or, maybe it's because I've seen this BC team go on the road against a quality defense and win. That defense? G-Tech. Sure, since that game G-Tech has fallen apart completely, but before it they were rolling and BC put a stop to that. Tonight they'll have VT a 2nd loss and Matt Ryan will be fantastic. If VT had an offense I'd be more inclined to pick them, but they don't. BC +7, without a doubt. (Well, some doubt).
Weak NBA Trade
The Trade:
To Minnesota: Antonie Walker, Micheal Doleac, Wayne Simien, Conditional 1st Round Pick
To Miami: Ricky Davis and Mark Blount
I actually consider this to be a bit of a win-win. While many seem to think it's a win for the Heat, and the Heat only.
Why it's good for the Heat: With D-Wade still out from his assorted surgeries and the loss of Eddie Jones, James Posey and Jason Kapono the Heat needed another scorer. Insert Ricky Davis, who can fill it up as well as most, but comes with a shit ton of baggage and a horrible attitude. The question is how he'll handle the shift to option 3 once D-Wade comes back. Seeing as he's never happy playing 2nd, or even 3rd fiddle to anyone. Interestingly, I read today that Davis and Blount don't get along so well, making the potential negatives of the trade even larger. As far as Blount goes, he's a better backup than Micheal Doleac, but he's not great and by midseason he won't be playing any more than Doleac did. Despite the negatives, good trade for Miami.
Why it's good for Minnesota: Simien and Doleac comes off the books this summer and 'Toine does the same the year after. Plus they got a 1st round pick out of it. A pick the Heat aren't expecting to be very high no doubt. While Walker really doesn't fit in so well in Minnesota it was necessary to take him to get the pick. The question is whether or not he starts. I had assumed Corey Brewer would start at the three and this move throws a wrench into those plans as their's no doubt Walker will want, and expect to start. Simien should fin sometime up front alongside fellow youngsters, but he's always hurt and has disappointed in the league for that reason. He's highly unlikely to remain after his contract expires. Overall I like the deal, but it's hard to imagine Walker fitting in well and I'd suggest they try and give him away.

As a Yankee fan it's difficult for me to say this...but Josh Beckett is the post season Sandy Koufax of our era...
You have no idea? Did you look at the picture?
I understand she's attractive, but in what capacity other than her looks has she becomes famous? Does she act? Sing? What?
To the best of my knowledge she was on Big Brother in England and dates soccer players. That's enough to be famous, no? And she was in my Hot Sports Wife/GF Tourney, so that seals it.
