by WCK, 100% Injury RateFirst off I'd like to thank The World of Isaac for leading me to this story. It seems that Minnesota Wild hockey player Marian Gaborik is pleading with fantasy owners to forgive him for having such a crappy start to the season. I know, I'm as surprised as you. People play fantasy hockey?
Anyway, Gaborik isn't really apologizing, he's actually taking shots at the fools who play fantasy hockey. Here's part of the statement he released, note the high level sarcasm.
"When developing this team it is obvious that management paid no attention to fantasy owners, but instead selfishly decided that winning games was more important. I will continue to help you out when I can. But I am afraid management is obsessed with giving Minnesota fans a Stanley Cup."
If you think I'm making this up, because let's be honest, hockey can't exactly stand to lose any fans, even the three who play fantasy hockey, well here's the video of Garborik issuing his apology.
I can't be the only one that thinks despite the high level of sarcasm here (even though Garborik shows none of it in the video), I'd like to see more of these. I know Fred Taylor owes thousands of people an apology.
