MIKE CAMERON LIKES HIM SOME STIMULANTS

By now everyone knows all about free agent Mike Cameron and his positive test results for stimulants. For most people this comes as a surprise as Cameron is generally seen as one of the 'good guys' in baseball. For others with a really good memory, like our friend Jed Donahue, it reminds them of another time when Cameron admitted to using/being under the influence of another stimulant while playing baseball:

Well, technically a depressant: booze. "Shit, I've played drunk," he told author Todd Gallagher, for the book Andy Roddick Beat Me with a Frying Pan.

Drunk? When?

"New York City…I went four for four with two jacks and eight ribbies. I'm
not saying that's the only day I played drunk, but that was the best one."

Now, I'm sure that Cameron isn't the first player that has played drunk, and actually I'm 200% sure he isn't, but he may be one of the first to openly admit to doing it more than once. I have to believe that this, along with his 25 game suspension to start the season, is going to has some sort of an effect on the contract he's able to sign this off-season.
