PICK A HAND... BABY BLUE IT IS

by Mike, The Pig Pen

...and these are your road jerseys

Are these the ugliest jerseys out of all the four major sports? I mean all jokes aside they simply don't make any sense. At all. The fact that it's a hockey team located in Atlanta and goes by the name Trashers just makes a funny situation hilarious.

Look at this thing (right). Granted it would be difficult to make any jersey appealing with that nasty thing they call their logo. Which, if I do my math correctly, has four shades of orange and yellow. Though none of which are actually orange or yellow. What the hell is a Thrasher, you ask? To my knowledge, a Thrasher is just a little harmless bird so I guess that explains the need for some assistance. Say hello to the popular tornado effect. A tornado that also happened to pick up a stray hockey stick.

Alright, back to the jersey. Why the hell is the jersey sky blue (or whatever blue you want to call it, it's not exactly sky)? The last thing light blue would go with would be orange. It almost looks like a mistake. As you pan across the jersey you might notice the outline, which is red and white. Your guess is as good as mine. My guess would be just for the hell of it. In a strange twist though, the bastards decided to outline the white lettering and numbering on the back of the jersey in orange. Funnily enough last year's jerseys (before the new Rbk Edge) had arrows on the bottom border of the jersey pointing to our right, the players left. Interesting Atlanta, very interesting.

Now on to that godforsaken left sleeve. Really? Nobody can pull off the "one sleeve of different" color look. Virginia Tech, Miami and Florida couldn't pull it off in football so why in the world did you think the all-mighty Thrashers of Atlanta could? It looks ridiculous. But, yes, it gets worse. Just in case you might forget who, and where, these repulsive jerseys came from they've taken the liberty of awkwardly placing "ATLANTA" right there on the discolored sleeve! Lucky us.

But hey, they did make the playoffs last year.
