MITCHELL REPORT DEBUTS TODAY

Since I write about baseball, I guess it's my duty to report to you that The Mitchell Report is coming out today. *Gasp* I feel a letdown coming on.....

While it would be great for those of us writing blogs if the Report came out with some juicy names and details, it's probably going to come out with the names of the players we either a) already knew about and/or b) already had suspicions about. So, let's not get too worked up about it. I'll be honest with you, I'm expecting very little from this Report. I'm hoping it will finally let us know who killed JFK, but I'll settle on knowing that Benny Agbayani was juicing while sipping on coconut margaritas in Hawaii.

The main thing that I'm going to take from this Report is that it not only lays blame with the owners (who people were quick to blame) but also the players, and their union. It's about time that baseball fans are given faces to go with the crimes (not real life crimes). I can't wait until I see Jerry Reinsdorf or any Tribune Company Employee on the street....they will be heckled. Same thing goes for Sammy Sosa and Jeff Blauser. Sosa because I'm pretty sure he was roided up and Blauser....because he was crap with the Cubs. I digress.

So, it seems like The Mitchell Report Journey that we've all been on over these past 20 months is finally going to give us some concrete feedback instead of the speculation we've been hearing. Then again, maybe it won't and we'll be left to speculate and guess all over again. At this point, I'm not sure I even care.
