MITCHELL REPORT UPDATE #2

Regarding the lists being put out by various blogs such as those we mentioned in our last update, MLB denies that such lists are accurate.

WNBC.com's Jonathan Dienst has obtained names expected to be on George Mitchell's list of baseball players linked to performance-enhancing drugs in major league baseball. Baseball officials are refuting several names on the list.

A high-ranking MLB official said there are several errors in the list provided to WNBC.com by two sources. Our two sources are standing by the preliminary list provided to WNBC.com. Therefore, we are working to clarify the list at this time.

Looks like we'll just have to wait until 2pm ET to know the truth.

UPDATE: Here's the list WNBC claims is accurate and MLB is disputing.

UPDATE #2: SI is now reporting that Miguel Tejada, Brian Roberts, Chuck Knoblauch, Roger Clemens, David Justice, Andy Pettitte, Mike Stanton, and Jason Grimsely are in the Mitchell Report.
