TONY ROMO TOLD TO COOL IT WITH JESSICA SIMPSON

Apparently Cowboys fans aren't the only ones drinking the Kool-Aid when it comes to thinking that Tony Romo's new GFF Jessica Simpson is causing their star QB to be distracted and unfocused, because well, the Cowboys are only 12-2 so the need to panic is high. Now sources say that the team has even chimed in and asked Romo to "put his romantic life on the back burner at this critical juncture near the end of the regular NFL season."

According to the Sun-Times, at least one team official has suggested to Simpson that it would "be in Tony's best interest," if the couple cooled it for a few weeks.

Since when does who you are dating have to do with how you perform on the field? I would be willing to bet that there over 100 wives of football players that are more of a distraction to the players that they are married to, but you don't see team officials telling them to get a divorce. Simpson herself thought that the idea that she is distracting Tony from his duties was preposterous. I guess dating a supermodel makes you the greatest quarterback in the history of the game, but dating a b-list actress/singer makes you suck.

But wait, there's more... Even Jess' megalomaniacal dad has chimed in on the sitch: Jessica's all-controlling dad, Joe Simpson, expressed to the Cowboys crew sentiments similar to his daughter's but only, uh, in a bit more colorful language.

Good for him.
