LIVE BLOG: SUGAR BOWL GEORGIA vs HAWAII

The College Baseball Blog is here to take you through the Sugar Bowl like only we can. Don't Forget the Xs and Os. We do care about them.

The Hawaii Warriors enter the Sugar Bowl as the only undefeated team in the country with a 12-0 record. UGA enters with a 10-2 mark with losses to South Carolina and Tennessee.

This is the final game of the evening as we witnessed USC destroy Illinois and Michigan upsetting SEC power Florida.

Here are the rules

PREGAME

• Our hosts tonight are Thom Brennaman handling play by play with Charlie Davis handling color duties. Former ESPN reporter Chris Myers will be working the sidelines.
  
• We are currently seeing a story on UGA IV. Are you serious? We are seeing a freaking story on a dog.
• Lets see how many American Idol commercials we can see tonight.
  

FIRST QUARTER

• Hawaii wins the toss and wants the ball. Gutsy move.
• This should be an interesting game. We should see right away if Hawaii can play with the big boys. I think they can.
  
• Nice return by the Warriors to the 45 yard line.
• Tough start here with back to back penalties on Hawaii with a delay of game and a false start.
• 3 and out for Hawaii on the first drive.
• On the punt, Hawaii gets called for a personal foul on the punt for kick catch interference.
  
• Bad spot...UGA gets a first down they are on Hawaii's 23.
• Moreno...Touchdown Georgia....25 yard run.

TOUCHDOWN: UGA 7 HAWAII 0

• Hawaii all year has been starting out slow. Hopefully the trend continues.
• The Warriors complete two consecutive passes over 10 yards to start moving the football.
• We are under review now over the second pass...Play stands
  
• Tons of penalties already against Hawaii...very suspicious.
• UGA players need to shut their mouths...Lots of trash talking going on out there.
• Pass interference on UGA. Automatic first down Hawaii.
• The officials have to get this game under control right now or there are going to be some major issues tonight.

• The officials are being very suspect already allowing a ton of trash talking by Georgia who seems to be running their mouths after every single play.
• Georgia is just controlling the line of scrimmage and the Warriors have no way of stopping it.
• TOUCHDOWN UGA: Moreno scores on a 13 yard run

• Hawaii needs a touchdown right now. Lets go Warriors!

SECOND QUARTER

• Is Hawaii ever going to get into their offense? This is getting boring as it looks like UGA is fired up to play.
• Hawaii finishes going 3 and out!
• UGA is controlling the ball and just got called for a holding penalty.
• How can you have a 4.1 GPA in college? I thought a 4.0 was the highest you can get?
• UGA is trying a 52 yard field goal and it is GOOD!!

• Hawaii puts a touchdown in here and we have a game. Lets hope for a game tonight and this live blog does not go like the USC one did.
• First play after the kickoff and Brennan throws an interception. What else is on TV?
• My buddy over at I want to be a Sports Agent does not like the Random pic. Do you think I care?
• Big Play by UGA and the reciever fumbles the ball...The refs are conferencing and they rule that Georgia gets the ball.
• How can they not review the play?
• TOUCHDOWN UGA: About a ten yard pass to the endzone.

TOUCHDOWN GEORGIA: UGA 24 HAWAII 3

• Jason Rivers of Hawaii just caught a 7-8 yard pass and looks like he might have been knocked out by the big hit.
• Great Allstate commercial about how noone knows the name of the kicker. Hey, He made fun of a towel boy. I think I was a towel boy when I was in college.
• Every time Hawaii starts getting going they shoot themselves in the foot with a penalty.
• Brennan gets hit on the blindside and now it is UGA ball again.
• Every break is going Georgia's way. UGA fumbles the ball and it goes out of bounds...The calls are going their way. Very disappointing as I wanted a real good game.
• 4th and 4 and Mark Richt goes for it from Hawaii's 40...interesting...They don't get it and it is now Hawaii's ball. Could we have a momentum shift?
• Hawaii can't protect Brennan with another sack setting up a third and long.
• Warriors punt again!!!
• Georgia is running the clock out and there is only a minute left....Hawaii does not call a timeout...Interesting.
• They call a timeout after letting 20 seconds run off.

• It looks like Hawaii does not belong in this game. UGA has them outclassed at every single position including quarterback. I am really bored with this game.
  
• I don't know if anyone is from Boston here but Maria Stephanos and her boots are too much for me.

• I will be back for the second half...I need to watch the bands play crappy band music.
• Lets get some more comments people!
  

THIRD QUARTER

• We are off on the third quarter and on the first play UGA gets another first down with an eleven yard pass.
• "Through the wickets" says Thom Brennamann...as the ball goes through the recievers hands. Hmmm...I thought wickets was through the legs....
• 4 and out for UGA after the quick first down...
• First down Warriors at the 25 yard line.
• Lets go Hawaii...I have some fun pics to put up!
• Does Brennan get any time? 6 sacks tonight
• Another interception by Brennan....I am going to say this game is over now but the Blog will continue as I have nothing better to do.
• Georgia timeout as they are knocking on the door step.
• INTERCEPTION: HAWAII BALL ON THEIR OWN 5....LETS GO WARRIORS!!
• Catch the ball Hawaii...another dropped pass.
  
• TOUCHDOWN UGA on a sack on Brennan and he fumbles the ball. UGA recovers in the endzone.

TOUCHDOWN GEORGIA: UGA 31 Hawaii 3

• Hawaii has a big return but it is brought back with a holding call on the Warriors.
• Georgia cornerback is talking trash when he is up 31-3....Win with class and lose with class...I hate teams that don't win with class.
• Finally, UGA gets called for a late hit.
• Thom Brennaman puts himself into the story too much...Last year with Boise State going for the tying touchdown started arguing for a playoff.
• Hawaii is starting to drive down the field.
• Georgia needs to find some better cheerleaders too...
• Hawaii throws another interception....Is anyone still there?
• TOUCHDOWN GEORGIA: Stafford throws about a 10 yard post to Massaquioi (sp)
• Play is under review...looks like the ball belongs on the 1 yard line. 1st and goal at the one.
  
• TOUCHDOWN GEORGIA: Thomas Brown scores

TOUCHDOWN GEORGIA: UGA 38 HAWAII 3

• The Run and Shoot is not more of a gimmick offense....The Florida offense is a gimmick to get Tebow and a crappy Alex Smith Heisman trophies. Both of their numbers were inflated greatly running Urban Meyer's system.
• Why does Thom Brennamann continue to put himself into the story of the game? Does tell us what is going on during this challenge. Don't be questioning the officiating...The officials are just calling the game like they see it. Does not matter what the score is. It is like when you see a blowout game and the officials are letting things go so they can get the game over with. When you ref sports...you ref the game and not for the score.
• END OF THE THIRD QUARTER...I am slowing down with the score being out of hand. After 3 Quarters, The score is 38-3 in favor of Georgia.

FOURTH QUARTER

• Looks like Hawaii has given up....

• Why do we need another Rambo movie? Is Stallone 70 yet?
• Colt Brennan went to Prep School in Massachusetts...Now this is interesting Thom.
• Colt went to Worcester Academy in Worcester MA...that is 15 minutes from my recliner...LOL
• Graunke is in at QB as Brennan got injured but is standing on the sidelines. He should be back.
  
• TD HAWAII...GRAUNKE to BRICE-MULLEN from about 15 yards out.

• DO NOT BUY RESIDENT EVIL:EXTINCTION...VERY BAD MOVIE
• The B-52's is a good band??
• Isn't it a penalty to call a timeout without having any left?
  
• I guess it is not according to the color guy but I believe they can call a Delay of Game on the defense for that.
• No Class from Georgia...I said it at the beginning of the game...They just threw a Hawaii player to the turf after the play was blown dead.
  
• Hawaii just was not ready to play tonight.
• Mark Richt is a bad guy for college football...I remember BC playing UGA in a bowl game a few years ago and he showed no class after the Eagles beat him. Do we need to go into the Florida situation this season?
  
• Georgia's punter even took a cheap shot at a Hawaii player...Grow up Bulldogs and it starts with the Head Coach.
• It has been a pleasure to share my thoughts on a bad Sugar Bowl. I hope that DCScrap asks me to come back in the future to blog about some great sporting event. We all know that UGA should be in the National Championship game over LSU.
