Today, Kansas ruins the fun for everyone

It had to suck to be a Kansas fan on Sunday night.

I mean, your team won, so that was nice, but you had to feel like you needed a shower after rooting against the team everyone wanted to win and move into the Final Four. You had to feel a little guilty.

As I'm sure you know by now, Kansas ruined the best story in sports by beating Davidson on Sunday and eliminating the Wildcats from the NCAA Tournament in the round of eight. How selfish of them, right? Would it have killed them to roll over and let tiny Davidson move on to add some intrigue to the Final Four? They were nice enough to step aside and allow #14 seed Bucknell move on to the second round in 2005. They did the same for #13 seeded Bradley in '06. Couldn't they have done us all a favor and let Davidson take a shot at North Carolina? Of course not. They had to go and beat Davidson and end the dream for all of us who are hopelessly behind in our bracket pools and just cheering for upsets.

As a result, no more Davidson this year. No more buses full of Davidson fans traveling the country following their team. No more Stephen Curry knocking down crazy 25-foot threes with hands in his face. And most importantly, no more shots of Stephen Curry's mom in the stands.

Instead, we have a Final Four of four #1 seeds and no subplots. La-dee-freakin-dah. Thanks Kansas.
