Eddie George did it, Deion Sanders is doing it, and now Carmelo Anthony has joined the reality TV game. BET Networks revealed their 2008-'09 lineup and Carmelo Anthony's reality show "Carmelo's Way" made the list. The show will premiere on the BET Networks channel BET J.
Good to know that a DUI doesn't deter any future TV plans for everyone.
On the Carmelo's Way website, they explain:
After a 2007 NBA Season filled with career highs, unfortunate lows, and constant change, Carmelo prepares for life in 2008 and beyond, with a new approach to the game and a new perspective on life. He begins to realize people know Melo, but do they really know Melo? (www.carmelosway.com)
And Carmelo explained it a little bit more back in February on his Yardbarker blog:
...you always have your ups and downs, what really matters is how you pick yourself up. One thing I wanted 2 do 4 all of my fans is show everybody a little more about what keeps me going, how much I've learned throughout my life and from my years in this league. That's why I'm happy 2 announce the launch of my latest project, a documentary that we shot during the last year. Carmelo's Way. That's what we're calling it. (Carmelo Anthony)
So Carmelo Anthony will be a reality star. Or will he? Remember The Christies? That show was also on BET J and it's on hiatus right now. But if you missed any of that show, they have a DVD on their website for $19.95.
But let's not let Camelo Anthony go on hiatus. The trailer just makes it seem like it will be a guilty pleasure. Honestly though, I actually just want to know who Munch is.
