What the hell are you people still doing here? The UFC 83 PPV starts in approximately a half hour and more importantly my live coverage of the event starts in just a few minutes at On205th.com. What the hell is wrong with you people? Do you understand the trouble and expense that the proprietor of this fine website has gone to in order to allow you the rare priviledge of enjoying the UFC 83 card as narrated by "The Undisputed Triple Crown Champion of Fight Sport Journalism?" And how much does he charge *you* for this? Nada. Squat. Zilch. So get your ass over to On205th.com right now. I'm going to be in constant communication with Doug aka "El Hefe" during the fight card. I want the traffic on this site to slow to a standstill because all of you are where you should be over at the UFC live coverage.
The main event will be a good one--Georges St. Pierre, whom I have ranked as the best pound for pound MMA fighter in the world at the moment--fighting the last guy to beat him, Matt Serra. Serra hasn't fought since then, while GSP has looked about as good as possible in destroying Josh Koscheck and Matt Hughes. The event is being held in Montreal, which is GSP's home town. I know, with a name like "Georges St. Pierre" you thought he was from Alabama. The live tickets at the Bell Centre (aka the home of the Montreal Canadians) sold out in record time and this will end up being either the first or second largest crowd to ever watch a MMA event in North America. And the Canadians have gone bat shit crazy for mixed martial arts--its been the dominant story in the media all across the Great White North. Considering the fact that the Stanley Cup playoffs are also underway, that's pretty amazing. Of course some cities--Ottawa, for example--would like to forget that the Stanley Cup playoffs ever began. A funny aside to that, a big story in the Canadian press was how excited Ottawa defenseman (or 'defenceman' for you Canadians) Mike Commadore was about scoring tickets to UFC 83. Not like he's got anything else to do like, oh, play hockey. To be fair, he was one of the bright spots for the Sens but for God's sake act a little remorseful that your team is going home.
So enough pre game blather...get your ass over to the live round by round brought to you by this fine website and your NEW home for fightsport journalism on the Intertubes, THE SAVAGE SCIENCE where we sell MMA, mayhem and more....
