Remember the first time you saw a woman wearing a sports bra for a shirt? Remember how astounded you were? You wondered whether this new trend would stick. Well it has and oh how we have taken it for granted. Sports bras have long been ignored, abused and just come to be expected to be seen in this fast-paced, dog-eat-dog world of ours. Well, no more! Not only is the sports bra fashionable, utilitarian, and sexy, it saves lives.
An American hiker stranded in the Bavarian Alps for nearly three days was rescued after using her sports bra as a signal, police in southern Germany said Monday.
Berchtesgaden police officer Lorenz Rasp said that he helped lift 24-year-old Jessica Bruinsma of Colorado state to safety by helicopter on Thursday after she attracted the attention of lumberjacks by attaching her sports bra to a cable used to move timber down the mountain.
"She's a very smart girl, and she acted very resourcefully," said Rasp. "She kept her shirt and jacket for warmth, but thought the sports bra could work as a signal."
Yes! Finally some respect for the sports bra. Has it really been so long since we marveled at this?
We're sorry we have neglected you sports bra. No more.

this was a compelling story up until the point that we found out that she kept her shirt on.
if her swollen and erect nipples were what attracted the rescuers.....THAT would be a badazz story.
