I've never wanted to vomit more in my life than I do right now. In fact, I'd like to punch myself in the face to relieve the inexplicable irritation caused by this Brett Favre bullshit. On a scale of one to ten on how retarded this whole situation is, I'm gonna go with eleventeen.
All this nonsense about Favre contacting Vikings coach Brad Childress and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell "repeatedly" with the intentions -- not to say 'Hello, how is the weather in Minnesota?' -- but to try to strike a deal in which he dons the gayest color of the rainbow, is the icing on the cake that is what used to be my sanity.
Granted, Bevell and Favre are fishin' buddies, but Childress is a tard and I'm pretty sure he and Favre don't hang out.
Blah blah tampering, blah blah Ravens, blah blah reinstatement.
Packers training camp opens on Monday. They have five days to figure out this bullshit before I officially flip out. I'm sure they're going to take it to the brink on Sunday just to piss me off, too. Then there's the possibility Favre holds out, in which he will be fined $15,000 a day.
Don't get me wrong. I am madly in love with #4. I've worn the same jersey every season since I was 14. But God, this is stupid. I'm pissed at the entire organization, from top to bottom... I hope he goes to play for the Jets or some other sucky team so we can enjoy our 6-10 season in peace.

I hear you! I'm in total agreement. I wrote a few about Favre-Gate and the ensuing media circus that HE created.
Last I checked, he retired. The Packers did what they had to do. Now the thrill from Kiln wants back in to further his own legacy.
Nice rant.
I was wondering when this gem was going to appear. However, it's devil's advocate time -- putting Favre's strange sense of neediness on hold for a moment and letting all things be equal, who would you rather have as your QB going into 2008?
Are Packers fans really and truly ready to turn the team over to Aaron Rodgers if there's a chance number 4 can play?
I think the main thing that pisses off Packer fans (myself included) is when we reflect on his retirement speech, and seriously how sad we were when he chose to retire after the lights-out season he had, we feel a little emotionally exposed, fucked with, disappointed, etc. Dude, he totally cried. He made grown men cry. I mean, I was genuinely sad, sad enough to leave work early after the 45-minute press conference and go get hammered. So.. DON'T TOY WITH MY FUCKING FEELINGS, BRETT FAVRE.
But yeah, I'd take him over Rodgers, given the choice.
Sooze, I agree totally with you comment about being emotionally spent after Favre's retirement. I am just totally tired of the finger pointing and I want number 4 under center. I can get over the being fuked with as long as the Packers win and Favre gives them a better shot than Rodgers.
I think Rodgers could be good but who really knows? I am more concerned about the Packers thinning DL and Ryan Grant's contract status.
