I know I am rarely serious, but this is kind of a cool thing that I thought our readers, being sports fans, might enjoy.
The Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award recognizes the college football coach in each NCAA division that best demonstrates sportsmanship, integrity, responsibility and excellence. Things that we should be rewarding in all parts of society. Unlike other coaching awards given out in college football such as the Heisman (or the BCS Championship!), the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award allows fans to have a say focusing on a coaches accomplishments off the field as much as their success on it.
As many of us know, coaches play an important role in teaching players sportsmanship and integrity. The sportsmanship and integrity of both a coach and his players is a key factor in determining the winners of the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award. How refreshing...
I encourage readers of Epic Carnival to visit the the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award Web site to learn more and vote for their favorite coach.
The Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award provides each winning coach with $50,000 to donate to one or more charitable organizations of his choice and a $20,000 grant to donate to his school's alumni association to enhance student scholarships and activities.
You can vote once each day for the coach they think is most deserving of the award, as well as download digital banners to promote their coach, see fan photos, and watch weekly exclusive videos. Pretty cool... Finally, something good in sports for us to promote here at Epic Carnival!

Cool post. It is refreshing to see an award in college football that is as much about wins as it is about character. I am curious to see what coaches and schools have received this award in the past...will check out website.
