Quick...
Name me the last person other than Roger Federer to win the U.S. Open?
Nadal? nope
Djokovic? not him either
It was Andy Roddick. And though a lot of people consider this A-Rod a loser, Roddick has won more than 25 titles worldwide including that 2003 U.S. Open.
With everybody struggling the last few days with fatigue from the Olympics, Roddick has cruised through the last two matches, not losing a set.
Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic have barely gotten by. In fact, Federer looks like he needs to take a couple of months off. Dude looks like he hasn't slept in weeks.
And Nadal, well, he wears capri pants and personally speaking, I just don't believe a capri pant wearing man should be anywhere near the U.S. Open title.
That leaves Djokovic, Roddick's next opponent. The five set 3 hour and 44 minute match on Tuesday was probably all he could handle. And if I was him, I'd be on the next plane to Paraguay to make sure Leryn Franco hasn't found herself another flavor of the week.
In fact, what the hell is he even doing playing in this tournament. My man should be a Paraguayan citizen right now.
Dumbass.
