Though Death Row Records is long gone and firmly placed in the bankrupt camp, its founder and relatively large man Marion "Suge" Knight continues to find ways to make news. Known for his ability to "persuade" others into making decisions that would ultimately benefit him - until landing him in jail - Knight faces a new bout of charges.
And while new charges, most of the legal jargon is the same. You know, an order of drug possession, with a side of misdemeanor battery.
The complaint filed by the Clark County district attorney's office accuses Knight of striking a woman identified as Melissa Isaac. Police say they arrested Knight in August after they saw the founder of bankrupt Death Row Records beating the woman while brandishing a knife in a parking lot near the Las Vegas Strip. And if you think that seeing Knight actually commit the crimes will be enough, think again. His defense attorney will "vigorously defend" Suge against charges that could result in another six months in the slammer. If he were to just plead guilty, he could be out of jail by the time the BET Awards roll around in June. I would hate for him to miss another opportunity to beat some more ass.
