They now have competition in the A.L east by way of the Rays. This year is not a fluke, because it is now Aug 21st, and with injuries they still take 2 out of 3 from the Angeles. Next year they are not going to go away, because all of there key players have long contracts. Also, there are more prospect coming. They will have a stellar offseason where they sign CC Sabathia and Manny Ramirez from the free agent market. Phil Hughes and perhaps Ian Kennedy will finally figure it out and join Joba and Wang to round out the rotation. It's going to be a very stormy off-season. My only beef is with your assessment of Dan Giese who has been excellent this year, and who's only fault has been that he's been mishandled.
