I'n 15 years playing ball I never once layed down a sac bunt unless I was forced to because the game situation dictated it. Everyone wants to swing away. I'm sure Michigan's skipper wanted to run through situational hitting in a non-practice environment. Was it stupid--of course, because this kid should get the chance to swing the damn bat again maybe the best lefty closer ever (sorry john franco fans).
