I think OMDQ's right about team chemistry. Personally, I think Vick would be fine to play with the trial going on but his teammates probably wouldn't be down with that program. He's not going to be that distracted, though. The lawyers he's paying a beach house in the Hamptons aren't going to be sitting there formulating legal strategies with him.
I also think Jackson was trying to find a way to say he shouldn't play without actually saying it.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Vick is the Falcons quarterback and it would be difficult to develop the right offensive chemistry if he's constantly leaving in the middle of the week to deal with the trial. I think.
